My name is Jay and I have been in the automotive field for some 20 years. I have been married for 10 years and have 4 children. I graduated high school in 1988 and while attending I went to Dutchess County Boces for automechanics and received a certificate of completion. After graduating high school I went to Denver Automotive and Diesel College in Denver, Colorado, I graduated from there with an Associates Degree in Automotive Technologies in late 1989. After graduating I came back to Ny and started working in the automotive field. I have worked in different shops ranging from a New car dealership to a muffler shop to a retail repair shop to a major auto repair shop that does everything from oil changes to clutches, and everything inbetween. I have been at my current job for just about 13 years and am 1 of 2 lead techs there. I am a certified Ny State inspector and ASE certified. I have been to many training classes and am going to take an ASE test in May for my L1 certification which is an Advanced Engine Performance Specialist test.
This is what I do so I can generate a little extra income for my family and I. Lets face it we all could use some help in todays economy.
